Train-Pedestrian Incident At Half Day Rd And Metra North Central Line, Buffalo Grove
UPDATE 3/7/2014: Initially witnesses that called 911 reported they thought the person hit by the train was in her 20s. The female was discovered to be a teen, age 17.
Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:43 PM Friday to Half Day Road and Railroad Tracks Buffalo Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a female in her 20s intentionally walked into a train near the railroad grade at Half Day Road.
Early reports indicate that the victim was moving. All trains are stopped in the area. All Buffalo Grove firefighter/paramedics are working on medical treatment of the victim.
There is no confirmation that the victim intentionally walked into the train at this time.
A train is stopped at the scene, and all other trains in the area have been stopped from approaching the scene.
