Arlington Heights Weather Forecast: 2 Inches Of Snow By 5 Pm, Near Zero Again Starting Monday/Tuesday Overnight

Chicagoland weather radar shows snow advancing toward Chicagoland from the west -- crossing the east side of Rockford at about 9:15 a.m. Snow flurries are expected to start before noon, and heavier snow showers are expected about noon. About 2.1 inches of snowfall expected by 5:00 p.m.

Yesterday's afternoon and evening snowfall brought very dry, fluffy accumulation of 0.5 inch

Satellite images show mostly cloudy conditions for most of the Midwest. Clouds are expected to clear gradually after 6:00 p.m.

Wind gusts from the west and southwest will increase about 3:00 a.m. Sunday at about 21 MPH and increasing to gusts of 30 MPH at 11:00 a.m.

Cold temperatures near zero return overnight Monday/Tuesday and persist until early Friday morning.
