Arlington Heights Police: Incident On Ridge Ave And Happfield Dr Not Believed To Be Connected To Northwest Highway Incident, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 3:11 PM Thursday to a report of a suspicious incident near Ridge Avenue and Happfield Drive, Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a call that a witness reported he saw a teenager walking westbound on Happfield Dr looking at his cell phone with headphones on. The witness saw a vehicle stopped facing east in the westbound lanes near the teenager. The witness did not see or hear the subject communicate with teenager. The subject's vehicle made a u-turn and left westbound on Happfield Dr. No description of subject available. Arlington Heights police believe this incident is NOT connected to the Suspicious Person incident that occurred on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 3:00-3:15pm at 102 W Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights.

The vehicle at Happfied Drive and Ridge Avenue was described as a 2005 blue GMC or Chevrolet pickup. The vehicle at Northwest Highway and Vail Avenue (102 West Northwest Highway) was described as a blue Chevy Pickup truck with chrome wheels and two blue plastic barrels in the bed of the pickup truck.

The incident is reported to have occurred about 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014.
