Expect about 4.8 inches of snow accumulation in Arlington Heights. Gusty winds from the southeast, south and southwest progressing through the day with highest gusts from the southeast at about 9:00 a.m.

Changing conditions could cause the Winter Weather Advisory to be extended after 6:00 p.m. Snow may be a little wetter toward the end of the event. Heavier snow is forecast for Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota and South Dakota. More of a Wintry Mix is forecast for Central Illinois.
