Chicagoland weather radar is all clear in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa at about 2:40 p.m.
Satellite images show thick clouds over southeast Minnesota, most of Wisconsin and northern Iowa at about 2:40 p.m.
Storm are expected to initiate by about 5:00 p.m. in southern Iowa, and head toward northern Illinois. Severe storms are possible after 5:00 p.m. with very large hail, strong damaging winds, and possibly a tornado. The greatest severe weather potential is between 7:00 p.m. and midnight.
About 1.0 inch of rain is forecast for tonight. Training of supercells is possible tonight, which would bring a series of thunderstorm cells with rain in excess of 1.5 inches.
