Arlington Heights Brother And Sister Injured In Tubing Crash With Pontoon Boat On Little Star Lake In Manitowish, Wisconsin

Vilas County Sheriff's Department police and Manitowish Waters Fire and Ambulance firefighter/paramedics responded Thursday to Little Star Lake Manitowish Waters, WI. Firefighter/paramedics received a report that two children were injured on the lake while tubing.

A brother and sister, age 11 and 12-years-old who reside in Arlington Heights, were transported to the hospital following a boating incident on Little Star Lake in Manitowish Waters, according to a press release from the Vilas County Sheriff's Department.


The children were tubing on the Little Star Lake when the tube they were riding struck the side of a pontoon boat. The release from Vilas County Sheriff's Department states that all parties involved were in the same family group.

The Vilas County Sheriff's Office, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Manitowish Waters Fire and Ambulance and Medic 4 and 5 ambulances responded to the scene.

Both children were transported to Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wisconsin. The medical condition and the names of the children have not been released.
