Rollover Crash With Woman Stuck Uninjured Upside Down In Driver's Seat, Route 53 And Interstate 90, Schaumburg
Illinois State police and Schaumburg firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:30 PM Tuesday to 42.055283,-88.026759 Schaumburg, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a female driver was apparently uninjured, but suspended upside down in her driver's seat with her seat belt on. There was also report that several Good Samaritans were attempting to "cut her out."
The vehicle crash was reported on the ramp from eastbound from northbound Route 53 to eastbound Interstate 90.
At least two signs with wood posts were down on the ramp shoulder from eastbound I-90 to northbound Route 53. The SUV may have been on the tight circle ramp from eastbound I-90 to northbound Route 53.
There is a history of several single-vehicle truck rollovers and passenger vehicles in this area. Multiple-vehicle crashes also frequently occur on northbound Route 53 in this area.
