Village Manager Ronald Searl Dui Arrest And Unusual Mug Shot, Clarendon Hills

Clarendon Hills police arrested a DUI driver 11:55 PM Thursday on 55th Street, Clarendon Hills , IL. The driver was observed pulling into an area of a closed business and then was observed driving westbound on 55th Street in the center turn lane. West 55th Street cuts both Westmond and Clarendon Hills into north and south halves -- with Clarendon Hills just east of Westmont.

Police transported Ronald R. Searl, age 54,the driver of the vehicle in custody to Clarendon Hills Police Department Headquarters after he allegedly failed a sobriety test. The driver's vehicle was towed to a police holding area.

At the police station, police reported that a Breathalyzer indicated Searl's blood alcohol content was .112, which is over the legal limit of .08. Searl is the Village Manager of the Village of Westmont.

At the police station Searl posed for an unusual mug shot. A blood alcohol content between .10 and .19 is known to be associated with over-expression, emotional swings, anger or sadness and boisterousness., and impairment that affects reflexes and reaction time, and gross motor control

Searl was charged with DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol content over .08. He was also charged with improper lane usage.

As of July 11, 2014 Searl had not been placed on administrative leave. Searl began working for the village of Westmont in October 1982 as an administrative intern.
