Police And Firefighters Investigate A Tanker Truck That Appeared To Be Venting A Gas , Schaumburg

Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:22 PM Wednesday to a investigate a tanker truck parked in the old Dominick's parking lot, 42.024056,-88.082039 (200 South Roselle Road Schaumburg, IL). Police on the scene reported that a tanker truck appeared to be open at the top and venting gas. Police reported there was no driver or person associated with the truck at the scene.

Schaumburg firefighters were investigating the tanker by about 10:30 p.m.

The tanker truck was reported to display the placard 3082, which coincides with miscellaneous hazardous waste. Firefighters on scene reported no hazard associated with the truck.

Crews from Squad 55 and Squad 55A responded, but were immediately returned when it was discovered the tank was empty and just parching or drying.
