Dui Crash With Injuries At Palatine Rd And Schoenbeck Rd At Arlington Heights Prospect Heights Border

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:36 PM Wednesday to a report of crash with injuries at Palatine Road and Schoenbeck Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a woman was trapped in a car with roof damage following an apparent crash.

The female patient in the car was extricated within about ten minutes. She was transported to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

The sedan vehicle was found on the north side of the westbound Palatine Frontage Road, just east of Schoenbeck Road. The vehicle was facing southwest. A large piece of metal believed to be from the car was found on the pavement of the eastbound right express lane of Palatine Road, just west of Schoenbeck Road. The vehicle apparently hit another vehicle -- possibly a semi-trailer truck before coming to rest on the other side of Schoenbeck Road. The vehicle also possibly rolled over and ended upright on its wheels.

Very early this morning police were investigating whether the driver of the car was intoxicated, and later charged a driver involved in the crash with DUI.
