Village Of Arlington Heights Seeks Info For Bicycle And Pedestrian Plan In Partnership With Chicago Metropolitan Agency For Planning

The Village of Arlington Heights, with the help and encouragement of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission, is seeking ways to increase bicycling and walking as forms of transportation and recreation. The Village received a local technical assistance grant from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to assist in creating a forward-looking, comprehensive plan for bicycle and pedestrian travel within the Village and to nearby major destinations.

Citizen input as a member of the community is crucial and appreciated, according to the Village of Arlington Heights. A quick and interactive online survey that will provide great insights on what residents would like to see regarding a bicycling and pedestrian plan is available for citizens to report on their experience and opinions about walking and cycling in Arlington Heights. The Village of Arlington Heights encourages people to share this survey with friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors.

The survey includes multiple choice questions, interactive statements that can be dragged according to priority, and input of map markers that allow opportunites to describe issues with pedestrian and bicycle routes.
