Annual Holiday Tree Lighting -- Christmas Tree Lighting In Many People's Hearts -- Is Tonight Friday Nov. 28; Festivities Start At 4:30 Pm

4:09 PM Friday ENTER ADDRESS. Friday night November 28 at 4:30 p.m. is the time to celebrate with the community at the annual Tree Lighting ceremony held at North School Park. Bring families, friends, neighbors and holiday guests to this festive celebration, located at Arlington Heights Road and Eastman Street.

The traditional ceremony of the light of the holiday tree, which look just like a Christmas tree, will begin with three group performances of the Arlington Heights Park District's Vibe Dance Company, followed by a performance of the Dickens Carolers from John Hersey High School. After brief comments, the countdown will begin to "flip the switch" that magically activates the lights of the holiday tree (Christmas Tree) in North School Park. There are many other delightful displays in North School Park and plenty of lights throughout the Downtown.

The traditional event is sponsored by the Arlington Heights Special Events Commission in conjunction with the Arlington Heights Park District as a way to kick off the holiday season. Treats from the Chicago Cupcake food truck and bags of Kettle Korn will be available as part of the event. Be sure to visit the Downtown area to view the displays and enjoy an evening out at one of the many restaurants or stores. This annual event is one of the best in Arlington Heights.

The displays and holiday lights remain lit until early January.
