One-Vehicle Rollover Crash Injures 6 People, Two Children Ejected Onto Tollway On Eastbound I-90 Between Elmhurst Rd And Mount Prospect Rd
Illinois State Police, Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics and Des Plaines firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:55 PM Sunday to one-vehicle rollover crash 42.0156,-87.929669 (I-90 AND MT PROSPECT RD DES PLAINES) . Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that two children were ejected from a vehicle. One vehicle was involved in a rollover crash near the ramp to the former O'Hare Tollway Oasis between Elmhurst Road and Mount Prospect Road.
Initially there were conflicting reports whether the crash was on the eastbound or westbound lanes of I-90.
Illinois State Police arrived first and confirmed that two children were ejected from a vehicle.
A total of seven ambulances were dispatched to the crash scene.
Firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Township, Elk Grove Village, and Rolling Meadows responded with ambulances.
A total of three children were injured and three adults were injured -- not confirmed.
Three patients were transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
Three patients were transported to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
All ambulances cleared the scene by about 3:31 p.m.
Eastbound I-90 was backed up to Arlington Heights Road at 3:45 p.m.
