Robert Rao, Md, Named Chief Of Surgery At Northwest Community Hospital

Robert Rao, MD, a veteran, board-certified general surgeon has been named chief of surgery at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights.

Dr. Rao, who has 19 years of experience on staff at NCH, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. He served his general surgery residency at Loyola University School of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Rao is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

"We are excited to work with Rob in partnership with our surgeons, operating room teams, anesthesia and clinical staff," NCH CEO Steve Scogna says. "Rob has extensive experience in a number of capacities, including board positions, director roles and committee memberships. His experience will prove to be instrumental in his abilities to lead our surgical services going forward."
