Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:01 AM Monday of fraud by "The Grandparent Scam" at 900 South Dunton Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders contacted the victim posing as an attorney and told the victim that the victim's grandson was in jail. The victim was directed to wire money for bail.

The victim wired $2,000 to the offender(s).

The crime is reported to have occurred
