Former Palatine Chef at Savoia T'go, Guy Jacobucci, Dies from Anaphylactic Reaction to a Bee Sting in Unincorporated Palatine

Cook County Sheriff's police and Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:04 PM Sunday to an address in unincorporated Palatine, IL. A former Palatine chef, Guy Jacobucci, died Sunday evening at Northwest Community Hospital after an allergic reaction to a bee sting at his home in unincorporated Palatine. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report from the victim that he was having an allergic reaction to a bee sting. The man was immediately experiencing tingling in his lips with swelling of his tongue and throat.

Jacobucci was rushed to Northwest Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:22 p.m.

The Cook County Medical Examiner autopsy report ruled that Jacobucci's death was an accident from anaphylactic shock in reaction to a bee sting.

Guy Jacobucci opened the Savoia T'go restaurant in Palatine in 2003, but the restaurant closed, and Jacobucci recently worked as an insurance and risk management adviser.
