Hoffman Estates Firefighters Stop Car Fire Before Spread to House on Highland Blvd, Hoffman Estates
Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:44 AM Sunday to a report of a house fire in the block of 1440 Highland Boulevard Hoffman Estates, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a car was on fire near a house.
Police were first on the scene and reported the residents were evacuated from the house.
Engine 21's crew reported a fully-involved car fire about two feet from the house. Firefighters extinguished the car fire while other crews went inside to check for extension of fire into the house. Firefighters reported an interior wall was warm, but no fire extended into the house.
