Not Much Snow, But Multiple Crashes Reported During Friday Night's Rush Hour in Chicagoland

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:25 AM Friday to a report of crash with injuries at Wilke Road and Lake Cook Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a crash east of Route 53 on Lake Cook Road.

The crash was one of several crashes during rush hour Friday night. Multiple crashes were reported on I-80, I-88, Route 53 and I-94 (the Tri-State Tollway).

There was little snow falling, but roads seemed to be especially slick on bridges from the little bit of precipitation that fell. Three or four crashes occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Two crashes occurred on northbound Route 53 near Mission San Juan Diego, 2323 North Wilke Road. A short time later another two crashes occurred closer to the bridge over Rand Road on northbound Route 53.
