Jet Aircraft Runs Past End of Runway at Chicago Executive Airport, Wheeling/Prospect Heights

Wheeling and Prospect Heights police and Wheeling and Prospect Heights firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:16 AM Tuesday to a report of an aircraft off the runway after landing 1020 Plant Rd, Wheeling, Il . Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report from the Chicago Executive Airport Control Tower that no people were reporting any injuries and that no immediate hazards existed.

A Falcon FA20 twin-engine jet aircraft slid into a crushable concrete barrier past the end of the runway after landing at the airport at Palatine Road and Milwaukee Avenue.

The concrete barrier prevented the aircraft from continuing onto Palatine Road after sliding past the end of the runway.
