RESCUE: Female Driver Trapped in Honda Sedan After Crash at Arlington Heights Rd and Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:40 PM Sunday to a report of crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Euclid Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a crash with a person trapped in a car.

A Honda sedan was hit in a T-bone type crash on the passenger side. The Honda was then pushed into an SUV that was stopped at a stoplight eastbound on Euclid Avenue. The Honda also had T-bone style damage on the driver's side.

Firefighters use a Hurst tool to open the driver's door, which was severely damaged.

The female driver was able to walk on her own after being extricated and helped of the car by firefighter/paramedics.

A male driver said he was westbound on Euclid Avenue when the Honda "came out of nowhere." He was possibly arrested and transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters.

Two young adult or teen females were transported to Northwest Community Hospital.

The driver of the SUV on eastbound Euclid Avenue, waiting at the stoplight, did not immediately report being injured.

The male driver was possibly arrested. A witness at the scene said he believed the driver was arrested for driving without a current driver's license. One of the other driver's may also have been given a citation.
