Home Invasion on Scarsdale Ct Near Central Rd, Arlington Heights; Suspect Captured by Palatine Police in Palatine

Arlington Heights police responded about 7:45 AM Sunday to 900 South Scarsdale Court Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that one or two male subjects attempted to break into a house but then fled.

Arlington Heights police put out a local radio broadcast that included Palatine Police Department, but did not broadcast an area wide broadcast on ISPERN, which covers a wider area that includes a greater number of police departments.

Palatine police may have captured a suspect that matched the description of the Arlington Heights home invasion suspect in the area of Quentin Road and Euclid Avenue.

A large number of Palatine and Inverness police officers were searching the area of the Chase Bank and in the backyards of homes nearby at Quentin Road and Euclid Avenue about 9:45 a.m. The Arlington Heights suspect might have been captured there, but the information has not been confirmed by officials.

A second suspect is possibly at large.

The initial crime is reported to have occurred at about 7:45 a.m.

A home invasion was reported on the same block at a house on Scarsdale Court on Thursday March 22, 2012 at about 4:55 a.m. Arlington Police responded immediately, which caused the fleeing offenders to dump some of the items they had stolen. A K-9 search helped discover some of the items, but the offenders were not captured. The house was undergoing renovation when the home invasion/burglary occurred, but residents were still living in the home during the renovation.
