Access to Garage Door Opener Results in Garage and Vehicle Burglaries, Stolen Auto on North Harvard Ave Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 5:46 AM Wednesday of a vehicle burglary in the block of 2800 North Harvard Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized three vehicles parked in the driveway of the residence and removed the following items from the vehicle: a set of golf clubs, a Garmin GPS and an Apple iPod. The stolen items had a total value greater than $500.00. The offender(s) was(were) able to access to the residence using a garage door opener that was apparently in a vehicle parked outside the garage. Once inside, the offender(s) removed several sets of car keys and house keys. The offender(s) used the keys to steal the victim's blue 2009 Honda Civic from the driveway.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 between 1:30 AM and 5:45 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 4:15 (hours: minutes).
