Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:23 AM Sunday to a report of fire on a balcony at a Barrington Lakes East Apartment building, 2090 Hassel Rd Hoffman Estates, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that flames were showing.
Engine 22's crew on arrival reported nothing showing.
Firefighters investigated, entered the building and had the fire on a balcony under control by 3:42 a.m.
Firefighters checking for extension, and reported the fire was contained to the balcony by 3:51 a.m.
The fire was possibly involving a grill -- not confirmed.
