Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:02 AM Sunday of used syringe and needle in the street at Euclid Avenue and Haddow Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a bloody syringe and needle were located near the curb in the street on Haddow Avenue just north of Euclid Avenue.

Arlington Heights police collected the biohazard in a tube while wearing protective gloves. A "sharp" receptacle for hypodermic needles is located at Arlington Heights Police Headquarters, which is where the needle and syringe -- contaminated with blood -- was relocated.
