Arlington Heights police arrested a suspected DUI driver 2:53 AM Thursday near Mariano's Fresh Market, 802 East Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police had probable cause to stop a motorist near Mariano's early morning Thursday.
Police transported the driver in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver's vehicle was towed to a police holding area.
The driver was identified as Robert W. Smolen, age 73, of Palatine.
Smolen was arrested on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 02:52 AM and was bonded out shortly after his arrest
Court date is scheduled for September 23, 2016.
