Ppedestrian Hit By A Metra Train Near Northwest Highway and Mount Prospect Rd, Mount Prospect

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:52 AM Thursday to a report of a pedestrian hit by a Metra train at Northwest Highway and Edward Street Mount Prospect, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics initially received a report that a person was hit by a train at Northwest Highway and Mount Prospect Road.

The train was reported to be a train that hit the pedestrian.

E61 requesting trains shut down at 6:57 p.m.

Inbound and outbound train movement has been halted near Mount Prospect due to train #608, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 7:17 a.m., striking a pedestrian. The duration of this delay is unknown.
