Car Vs Building Crash at Panda Express on East Dundee Rd, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:59 PM Sunday to a report of a vehicle crash into the Panda Express restaurant 1165 East Dundee Road Palatine, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a white Jeep crashed into the wall of the restaurant and caused a small fire inside the kitchen in the restaurant.

The crash also caused a natural gas leak.

Callers reported there was no entrapment inside the building, but there were some injuries.

Police on arrival reported the fire was out by 4:03 p.m.

Engine 82's crew reported a vehicle crashed into the left side of the building (when facing the front), and that the vehicle has been removed prior to their arrival. They also reported their initial assessment showed no entrapment.

Upon arrival firefighters also received a report that there were no injuries.

Firefighters requested Nicor to respond to the scene for a gas leak and/or fixture damage.
