Police: Robbers Take Down Clerk Behind Counter After Female Accomplice Sets Up Robbery at Mobil Gas Station, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police responded about 3:55 AM Sunday to a strong armed robbery at the Mobil gas station, 780 East Schaumburg Road Schaumburg, IL. Police received a report that four subjects entered the Mobil Gas station at Schaumburg Road Plum Grove Road.

The subjects were described as one female Hispanic and three male Hispanics all ranging approximately 18-25 years old.

While the female made a purchase, the store clerk opened the cash register drawer. Next the three males approached the clerk from behind, and attacked the clerk. The offenders wrestled him away from the cash register and
slammed him on the ground. The offenders then took cash from the store clerk and they took the store clerk's personal cell phone.

An unknown amount of cash was also was taken from the cash register.

Schaumburg police did not mention whether any weapons were displayed or implied, so it is assumed no weapons were involved.

Schaumburg Police Detectives are working with Elk Grove Detectives on this case. Elk Grove Village Police reported a similar robbery in Elk Grove Village earlier in the morning of New Year's Day -- possibly involving the same four subjects. A search of Elk Grove Village police online resources, yielded no information about an armed robbery in Elk Grove Village on January 1, 2017. Elk Grove Village has no news listing on their website, and no official Facebook or Twitter page for public safety information.

Schaumburg Police are looking for assistance from the community to identify the four subjects pictured. If anyone has
