Wheelng Police SUV Hit Head-On in Median on Hintz Rd Just West of Schoenbeck Rd, Wheeling
Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:25 AM Thursday to a report of crash involving a Wheelng Police Department SUV with injuries at Hintz Road and Pin Oak Wheeling, Il. A Wheeling police officer was involved in a crash at Hintz Road and Pin Oak Lane.
The crash with injuries was located on the median at Hintz Road just west of Pin Oak Lane. A witness reported a parked police SUV was hit head-on.
The police SUV was hit head-on by a Chevy Equinox.
A second ambulance requested at 11:27 a.m.
A police officer and another person in the Chevy Equinox were injured.
The crash response was upgraded to an accident with extrication by 11:29 a.m. -- Battalion Chief 24, Ambulance 24, and Truck 24 were assigned.
