Amtrak Train Derailment Near Southgate Market, South Lumber St Near Roosevelt Rd, Chicago

Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:05 AM Monday to a report of an Amtrak train derailment at 1100 South Lumber St Chicago, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that three Amtrak cars derailed at 1400 South Lumber Street.

Special Operation 2-1-9 reported that the train is about two blocks north of Roosevelt Rd at 1100 South Lumber St.

Amtrak is reporting no injuries at 11:15 a.m. but then a fire crew requested an ambulance for a male/adult.

Initially it appears that there are no injuries at the train derailment scene.
