Police Activity: Cedar Run, McHenry Rd Shots Fired Investigation, Roads Closed Near McHenry Rd and Elmhurst Rd, Wheeling
Wheeling police responded about 6:57 PM Sunday to a report of shots fired near 863 McHenry Road Wheeling, IL. Police received reports of shots fired from multiple people.
Possibly eight shots were fired.
Police in the area have found evidence that shots were fired, and are investigating witness reports of one or two vehicles fleeing the area after the shots were fired.
The crime is reported to have occurred about 6:57 p.m.
Police temporarily shut down Elmhurst Road southbound and McHenry Road.
No injuries were reported.
