Crash with Injuries , St Charles

St Charles police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:15 AM Monday to a report of an activated fire alarm at St Charles East High School, 1020 Dunham Road St Charles, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of an activated fire alarm at St Charles East High School, and smoke showing from the basement of the John B Norris Recreation Center.

Truck 101 on the scene reported evacuation westbound out of the school on the west side of the school at about 8:20 a.m.

Fire command reported black smoke coming from the basement by about 8:25 a.m. -- fire call upgraded to a General Alarm.

Fire command requested a special for a Femilab Engine and the St Charles EMA to the scene about 8:50 a.m.

Battalion Chief 100 reports electric, water and sprinkler water shut down to the building.

The Box Alarm was struck out at about 10:13 a.m.
