Armed Robbery at York Road and North Avenue, Elmhurst
Elmhurst police responded about 10:15 PM Monday to an armed robbery at York Road and North Avenue Elmhurst, IL. Police received a report that two men were armed with handguns and committed a robbery.
It is initially unknown if a person was robbed on the street, or a business was robbed.
Police were looking for two male/black suspects armed with handguns, wearing hoodies.
The offenders took cash.
The offenders fled in a dark gray Chevy Astro van with Indiana license plates.
The offenders in the dark gray Chevy Astrovan were last seen heading toward eastbound I-290 less than one-half mile from the crime scene.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 10:15 p.m.
