Theft of Wallet from Purse at Panera Bread on Rand Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:46 PM Thursday of a theft at Panera Bread, 5 West Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders removed the victim's wallet from her purse, which had been hanging off the back of a chair. The theft occurred behind her back while she was eating.

The offenders took approximately $220.00 in cash along with the victim's credit cards from the wallet. The offenders discarded the wallet in the business.

Apparently there were three offenders working together to commit the crime. The offenders then attempted to make approximately $3000.00 worth of unauthorized purchases with the victim's credit cards.

Offender #1 was described as a Hispanic female with olive skin, 30 years old, 5'06", 130 LBS, medium build, with long black hair in a ponytail, and wearing a dark jacket.

Offender #2 was described as a Hispanic Male with olive skin, 30 years old, 5'09", medium build, with short dark hair.

Offender #3 was described as a Hispanic Male with olive skin, in his late 60's to early 70's, 5'07", 150 LBS, with salt-and-pepper dark hair, an unshaved face, and wearing a tan shirt and tan pants.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Thursday, January 11, 2018 between 2:00 PM and 2:45 PM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 0:45 (hours: minutes).
