Suv Vs Motorcycle Crash at Central Rd and Wilke Rd, Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:14 PM Monday to a report of an SUV vs motorcycle crash at Central Road and Wilke Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police were first on the scene and requested firefighter/paramedics to expedite to the scene.
A motorcycle was down in the northbound curb lane of Wilke Road just north of Central Road. The motorcyclist was down in the street at the northwest corner of Central Road and Wilke Road. The vehicle that crashed with the motorcyclist was a Honda Pilot SUV with severe front end damage. The Honda Pilot came to a stop in the center lane of northbound Wilke Road, a little further north of the motorcycle.
Firefigher/paramedics evaluated and treated the motorcyclist in the street for a short time before transferring him to the ambulance. The male motorcyclist was conscious but possibly suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Northwest Community Hospital about two blocks east of the crash scene.
There was a motorcycle helmet near the motorcyclist on the street. Police were looking for a GoPro camera that may have been connected to the helmet. Initially it was concluded that there was no GoPro camera connected to the helmet.
Police were also looking for license plates on the motorcycle, and initially there were no plates discovered. Police were also searching for the intersection in case the plates flew of the bike. It was unknown whether police found any license plates.
There were possibly three people in the Honda Pilot when the crash occurred. They initially did not report any injuries.
Rolling Meadows Police Department assisted with traffic control around the crash scene.
