Arlington Heights police responded about 9:18 PM Monday to a report of a car vs train crash Arthur Avenue and Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report of a minor crash with no injuries involving a Metra passenger train and a vehicle.
No injuries were reported and the fire department was not dispatched to the scene.
Fresh deep snow conditions existed at the time of the crash.
Metra reported at 9:35 p.m. that Train #659 was involved in an incident with a vehicle that struck the train. Train #659 is an outbound train from Chicago to Harvard that is scheduled to arrive at the Arlington Heights downtown Metra station at 9:16 p.m.
Air temperature was 25°F at O'Hare's official Chicago weather station at 9:51 p.m.
