Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:39 PM Sunday to a report of a rollover crash with entrapment at the newly constructed Arlington Heights police station at 200 East Sigwalt Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that at least one person was trapped in a vehicle involved in a crash.

Two firefighters happened to be out in front of the fire station, which is about 200 yards east of the crash scene, when the crash occurred. The vehicle was westbound on Sigwalt Street and hit the curb, rolled over, cartwheeled and hit the wall near the lobby of the police station. The vehicle punched a hole in the the stone wall of the lobby. Mud was sprayed up onto the wall of the vehicle, and the driver was trapped, while papers from inside the vehicle flew onto the roof and onto the sidewalk at the crash scene.

Arlington Heights police are investigating, and Sigwalt Street is closed just east of Arlington Heights Road.
