Attempted Residential Burglary, Suspicious Activity After Midnight Near Recreation Park, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:31 AM Sunday of a residential burglary in the block of 200 North Beverly Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders attempted to burglarize a home. The victim at the residence reported that someone tapped on their window and then broke a large window.

Earlier, one or more residents reported suspicious subjects in the neighborhood. One resident reported that the doorbell rang at about 1:30 a.m. Upon checking outside, the resident witnessed a person in a black hoodie walking away from their house.

Someone familiar with the incidents reported that one person was seen running away when police arrived.


The suspicious activities and crime are reported to have occurred on Sunday, February 10, 2019 between 1:30 AM and 2:30 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 1:00 (hours: minutes).
