Vehicle Burglary on South Vail Avenue Near White Oak St, Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:01 AM Tuesday of a vehicle burglary in the block of 1300 South Vail Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders entered the victim's unlocked 2018 Maroon Ford Escape.
The victim's personal belongings were strewn about the vehicle, but there was nothing taken from the vehicle and nothing was damaged.
A dark colored SUV traveling slowly through the area was later seen via review of video surveillance at the time of the event. Also, a subject was seen via video surveillance near the vehicle, attempting to open vehicle doors during the time of the event. The unknown subject was only described as wearing a light colored sweatshirt.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 between 2:25 AM and 11:00 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 8:35 (hours: minutes).
