Criminal Damage to Vehicle at Vail Ave Parking Garage, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:01 PM Thursday of criminal damage to vehicle at the Vail Avenue Parking Garage/Lot D 22 South Vail Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender criminally damaged a victim's vehicle.

The victim watched from a distance as an unknown offender ripped a windshield wiper from the victim's vehicle and threw it into an open field west of the parking garage before running away. The victim immediately called 9-1-1, but no offender was located.

The offender was described as a male/white approximately 50 years-old, wearing a dark-colored jacket, that approached the victim's vehicle in an angry manner.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 7:00 PM.
