Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:31 PM Wednesday of a residential burglary in the block of 700 South Chestnut Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender entered a private residence through an unlocked door after the victim left the residence for a brief time to walk his dog. The victim returned home and found the male offender inside the residence. The male offender immediately exited the residence and left the scene prior to police arrival. It does not appear anything was taken from the residence at this time.
The offender was described as a male/white with a thin build and wearing a hat.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 0:30 (hours: minutes).
