Firefighters Respond to a Small Gas Leak at House on Patton Ave Just North of Grove St, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:48 PM Monday to a report of a gas leak on Patton Avenue just north of the intersection of Patton Avenue and Grove Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that there was a gas odor and that a hissing sound was heard at the address of a one-story house in the neighborhood.

Specific details about the leak were not initially available, but extra fire crews were released in a short time, leaving just the neighborhood's first due crew of Tower 1 at the scene. The scene is apparently stabilized.

Nicor arrived within 30 minutes for repair of the problem.
