Liquor Store Burglary on Northwest Highway Near Kaspar Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:21 AM Tuesday of a commercial burglary at Elm's Liquors 906 West Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully entered the liquor store by using a rock to break a glass window. Police officers responded to the scene for an activated burglar alarm and observed the broken window, but the offender(s) were no longer on scene.

A police K9 was called to the scene and a track for the offenders was conducted, but was unsuccessful in locating any suspects. An inventory of the store was conducted and approximately $3,600 worth of alcohol beverages had been taken. Additionally, a cash register was damaged in the store and approximately $1000 was taken.

The cost to repair the broken window is approximately $1000 and the cost to repair the broken cash register is approximately $500 USC.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2:20 AM.
