Overnight Burglary at Dunkin' Donuts on South Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:14 AM Sunday of a commercial burglary at Dunkin' Donuts, 2106 South Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully entered the business by breaking the glass to an entry door. From signs of damage it appears that the offender initially attempted to pry open the door but was unsuccessful. The offender was observed via surveillance footage and is described as wearing gloves, a black coat, a white hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes. Initially, nothing was reported taken from the business. The crime is reported to have occurred between Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:58 PM and Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 12:13 AM. Retail Theft Over $1,000 at Dick's Sporting Good on Palatine Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:01 PM Friday of a theft at Dick's Sporting Goods, 401 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that three unknown offenders concealed merchandise for sale on their persons before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. The first offender is described as male/black wearing a black jacket, light-colored blue jeans and white shoes. The second offender is described as female/black wearing a pink headband, black jacket, black sweatpants with three stripes, and dark colored Ugg style boots. The third offender is described as wearing a dark blue and white FILA jacket, light colored blue jeans and black shoes. The total retail value of the merchandise is approximately $1,073. Retail Theft at the Mobil Gas Station on Algonquin Rd Near New Wilke Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:13 PM Thursday of a theft at the Mobil gas station, 1712 West Algonquin Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that one unknown male offender concealed merchandise for sale on his person before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. The total retail value of the merchandise is approximately $24.94. The offender was described as a male/black, about 5'5" 200 LBS, with a full beard and short dreadlocks. The suspect was wearing a gray and green hooded sweatshirt, stone washed jeans and black boots. The offender was last seen leaving the area in a silver Mitsubishi Outlander with an Illinois license plate. The vehicle was also occupied by a female/black. Pickpocket Theft at Lowe's on Algonquin Rd, Arlington Heights

Pickup Truck Crashes Into Garage Wall at Kirchhoff Rd and Reuter Drive, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:21 AM Saturday to a report of crash with injuries at Kirchhoff Road and Reuter Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a vehicle crash into a house at the northeast corner of Kirchhoff Road and Reuter Drive. The injured driver of a pickup truck was transported to Northwest Community Hospital. The driver was apparently northbound on Wilke Road and left the road, crossed Kirchhoff Road, went through a yard fence, grazed a tree, and crashed into the brick wall of an attached garage. Much of the brick was smashed to the ground, and at least two cracks were visible in the brick above the location where the vehicle hit the wall. Police are investigating what caused the driver to leave the roadway. Trapped Driver Extricated, Says Initially He Was "Not Hurt" in Crash at a Arlington Heights Rd and Rand Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:08 PM Saturday to a report of a crash with entrapment at Arlington Heights Road and Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that at least one person was trapped in a vehicle involved in a crash. The driver of a minivan was trapped in his vehicle, and firefighter/paramedics used cutter and spreader extrication tools "Jaws of Life" to free the man from his vehicle. The man did not initially report any injuries, and was immediately able to work away from his vehicle after he was extricated. A female driver in a sedan involved in the crash also did not initially report any injuries. A third smaller sedan was also hit, and received very minor damage. Both of the other vehicles received received serious damage. The third driver was waiting at a red light when the other two vehicles collided.
