Burglar Alarm Interrupts 3:30AM Burglary at Best Buy on Palatine Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:35 AM Wednesday of a commercial burglary at Best Buy, 615 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully made entry to Best Buy using ceiling access from an adjacent business to scale the building. The offender or offenders made entry into the neighboring business, cut into the ceiling of the business, and used ceiling access to make entry into the Best Buy. A commercial burglary alarm activated and was automatically forwarded to Northwest Central Dispatch System, and Arlington Heights police responded to the scene. The offender or offenders ran on foot from the scene and were not located by police officers searching the area. Investigation is underway to determine whether any items were taken. Armed with Pepper Spray 'Retail Theft' at Ulta on Rand Rd Near Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights

Police received a report that two unknown offenders concealed merchandise for sale on their persons before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. The first offender is described as a male/black wearing a black beanie hat and gray jeans and carrying a black bag. The second offender is described as a female/black with black hair in a bun and wearing a black jacket and black pants with a white stripe. The offenders were stopped by the manager as they were leaving the store with the stolen merchandise. The offenders displayed pepper spray canisters to the manager but did not use the pepper spray against the manager. The offenders were last seen leaving the area on foot. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $2,200. The crime is reported to have occurred on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 6:00 PM.

Theft Over $6800, Possible Flash Mob Robbery at T-Mobile on Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights

All four of the offenders are described as a male, black, approximately 20-25 years-old and wearing winter coats with the hoods pulled over their faces and gloves on their hands. The offenders were last seen leaving the area on foot. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $6810. The crime is reported to have occurred on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 4:27 PM.
