Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:28 PM Sunday of a theft at T-Mobile, 1990 North Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that four unknown male offenders concealed merchandise for sale on their persons before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. All four of the offenders are described as a male, black, approximately 20-25 years-old and wearing winter coats with the hoods pulled over their faces and gloves on their hands. The offenders were last seen leaving the area on foot. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $6810.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 4:27 PM.
In many communities, police consider multiple offender crimes as a "robbery" because of the implied force possible from multiple offenders. Arlington Heights Police Department did not classify this case as flash mob robbery in their information release.
