Two Distract, One Steals Wallet Victim's Vehicle at Town & Country Center, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 5:07 PM Thursday of a theft at 379 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that three unknown offenders were involved in a ruse vehicle burglary in the parking lot near the Sally Beauty store.


A female victim reported to police that as she was walking to her car, she was approached by two subjects who asked her for directions.

While the victim sat in the drivers seat the two subjects asking her for directions distracted her while a third subject approached from the passenger side and opened the passenger door and stole the victim's wallet.

The subjects were described
as ...

Subject #1: a male/white, medium build, approximately 30 years of age, short hair; wearing a blue hooded jacket, tan baseball hat, black pants, black shoes with white soles, and a black facemask.

Subject #2: female, thin build, medium length straight brown hair; wearing a light in color fur
style coat, dark colored pants, black shoes with white soles, and a light blue facemask.

Subject #3: male white, medium build, approximately 40 years of age, short hair;wearing a black leather jacket, blue pants, navy blue baseball hat, black shoes, and a black facemask.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 5:06 PM.
