Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:08 PM Tuesday to a report of a car vs building crash at Dunkin' Donuts, 801 East Dundee Road Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a white Lincoln Town Car crashed into the front entrance of Dunkin' Donuts. First firefighter/paramedics on the scene reported a car into the front of the Dunkin' Donuts with structural damage. At first look, the damage appeared to be limited to the bottom wall, and not the upper wall or roof. Forest fires in Saskatchewan left a haze over Winnipeg, Canada yesterday and have now obscured the skies over Chicago. Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:25 PM Monday to a report of two pedestrians hit by a car at Northwest Highway and Smith Street Palatine, IL. Firefighter/paramedics found two people with serious injuries. Both patients were transported by Palatine firefighter/paramedics -- one in Ambulance 83 and one in Ambulance 81. Extra paramedics assisted the regular two-person crew in each ambulance. Both patients were transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
