Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:22 AM Saturday to a report of a house fire in the block of 480 Illinois Boulevard Hoffman Estates, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a passerby saw smoke coming from a house. Firefighters arrived to find smoke showing from a one-story house by 12:25 p.m. The back of the house was fully-involved with fire by 12:30 p.m. Fire command evacuated all interior attack firefighters from the house by 12:31 p.m. and fought the fire defensively for a period of time before entering the house again. The fire was declared under control about 12:55 p.m. A live power line was down in the back of the yard and ComEd was called to the scene. No injuries were reported. Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:19 AM Friday to a report of crash with injuries at 42.126453, -87.936727 (Elmhurst Rd And Wheeling High School). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person might have been trapped in the car, but when firefighters arrived all four doors of the vehicle were open. The extrication crash response was held up and firefighter/paramedics in Ambulance 24's crew assessed their patient for possible injuries from the crash.
