Home Invasion on Cedar St Near Touhy Ave, Des Plaines

Des Plaines police responded about 3:00 PM Friday to a home invasion on Cedar St just north of the intersection of Cedar Street and Touhy Avenue Des Plaines, IL. Police received a report that two unknown offenders fled in a tan Chevy sedan following a home invasion in a single-family residential neighborhood. Initially there was no additional additional description of the vehicle. Suspect #1 male/Hispanic, 5'7" approximately age 40 with a heavy set build. Suspect #2 was described as a female/Hispanic heavy build. The suspects were last seen in their vehicle eastbound Touhy Avenue at River Road and then possibly near I-294. Armed Robbery at Shell Gas Station at Central Rd and Pine Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 6:28 PM Monday to an armed robbery at the Shell gas station, 301 East Central Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that unknown offender unlawfully, and under threat of force, took money from the cash register at the gas station. The offender is described as a male/white, approximately 20-25 years old, thin build, and wearing a blue surgical face mask, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, clear plastic gloves, black pants and carrying a handgun. The male offender was last seen running eastbound from the scene. Approximately $400 cash was taken from the register. Apparently no ISPERN (Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network) message was broadcast for this incident The crime is reported to have occurred on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 6:27 PM.
